Greenwood United Church
Worship time: Sunday at 11:00 am
We have a time of tea, refreshments, and fellowship following most worship services.
The worship service is available on cd for those unable to attend. Please contact the church office to request a copy.
Sunday school is offered Wednesday afternoons for school-aged children. A discussion group meets each Thursday morning to discuss topics such as the bible, compassionate living, and world religions.
Greenwood United Church has a history dating back to 1841 when Knox Presbyterian church was established on Baddeck Bay. Later, the congregation moved into the heart of Baddeck itself, and built our current church building.
Greenwood has changed a lot from those early years, but we are still committed to being a sign of God’s presence to the people of Baddeck. We host many activities throughout the year including concerts, clothing sales, outreach to shut-ins, ecumenical and community events.
You would be very welcome to join us for worship any Sunday or at any of our community events.

Worship time: 9:15 am; worship services alternate between St. Andrew’s United Church, Baddeck Forks and Middle River United Church. Please contact us for details and directions.
Located in two beautiful settings, the congregations of St. Andrew’s United Church and Middle River United Church are small and faithful. Our history goes back to 1834 when the Rev. Alexander Farquharson settled on the Middle River. The present St. Andrew’s United Church was built between 1865 and 1872. The Middle River United Church was moved to its present location from Margaree in 1925.
Middle River United Church is an active church hosting a yearly potluck, and many special worship services throughout the year. It has an UCW (United Church Women) group and a choir, as well as occasional faith-based study sessions, concerts, and gatherings. We have tea and conversation following each worship service.
St. Andrew’s United Church is perhaps best known for our annual Christmas in the Country evening, featuring Christmas readings and music by the Baddeck Community Men’s Choir. Some of the donations from this event support local community organizations.
You would be very welcome at worship or events at any time.
